Links

Create short links, choose custom slugs, update destinations, add social previews, and measure performance.

Links are the core Qorlivo resource. A link turns a destination URL into a shorter URL you can share, brand, organize, update, and measure.

FieldMeaning
Destination URLThe final page visitors reach after opening the short link.
SlugThe short path after the domain, such as summer-sale.
Short URLThe full shareable URL, including the domain and slug.
TitleA private label that helps you recognize the link in Qorlivo.
CollectionOptional group for related links and videos.
DomainThe default Qorlivo domain or one of your verified custom domains.
ExpirationOptional time when the link should stop resolving.
Social previewOptional title, description, and image shown by supported apps.
StatusWhether the link is active, expired, archived, or unavailable.
  1. Open Links.
  2. Choose Create link.
  3. Paste the destination URL.
  4. Add a title.
  5. Optional: set a slug, domain, collection, expiration, or preview fields.
  6. Save.
  7. Copy the short URL.

Qorlivo accepts http and https destinations. For public sharing, use https whenever the destination supports it.

Choosing slugs

A good slug is short, memorable, and specific.

Slug styleExampleUse when
Campaignspring-launchThe link is tied to a launch or promotion.
Resourcepricing-guideThe link points to a durable asset.
Eventnyc-meetupThe link belongs to a specific event.
Generateda8k2fYou need speed more than memorability.

Slugs must be unique on the selected domain. If a slug is already taken, choose another one or use the generated option.

You can update a link after sharing it. Common edits include:

  • Change the destination URL.
  • Rename the title.
  • Update social preview fields.
  • Add or remove an expiration date.
  • Move it into a collection.
  • Archive or restore it.
  • Delete it when it is no longer needed.

Changing the destination keeps the public short URL the same. That is useful when a campaign landing page moves but printed, emailed, or posted links are already out in the world.

Social previews

Social preview fields help links look cleaner in tools that display rich link cards.

FieldTip
Preview titleKeep it concise and recognizable.
Preview descriptionExplain what the visitor will get after opening.
Preview imageUse a clear 1200 by 630 image when possible.

Some apps cache previews. If you update preview details, it may take time before every app shows the new version.

Analytics

Each link can collect performance signals such as:

  • Total clicks.
  • Unique visitors.
  • Clicks over time.
  • Referrers.
  • Countries.
  • Devices.
  • Browsers.

Use link-level analytics when you need to understand one campaign. Use workspace analytics when you want a broader view across many links.

  1. Create the link with a clear title.
  2. Add it to a collection if it belongs to a campaign or resource group.
  3. Test the short URL before sharing.
  4. Share it.
  5. Review analytics after the link has traffic.
  6. Update the destination or preview if the campaign changes.

API support

Developers can create, list, update, delete, and bulk-create links through the public API. See Links API.
