Domain is not verifying

What to do when a custom domain stays on Pending DNS, shows Failed, or is verified but not loading over HTTPS.

Last reviewed: October 1, 2026

What you see

In Settings → Domains, the domain shows Pending DNS or Failed, or Check DNS says "Record not found yet. DNS can take a few minutes to propagate."

Before you start

  • Access to the DNS settings for your domain, at your registrar or DNS provider.
  • The record Qorlivo expects. It is shown under the domain in the list, and in the DNS setup guide.

Fix it

  1. Compare your DNS record with what Qorlivo shows:
HostnameTypeNameValue
Subdomain, such as go.example.comCNAMEgocname.vercel-dns.com
Apex domain, such as example.comA@76.76.21.21
  1. Check the common mistakes:
    • The name includes your whole domain twice, such as go.example.com.example.com. Most providers add the domain for you, so enter only go.
    • Another record already exists for the same name, such as an old A, AAAA, or CNAME. Remove the conflicting record.
    • The value has a typo or includes https://.
    • The record was added at a provider that doesn't control your domain. Check which nameservers your domain uses.
    • Your provider proxies the record (for example, an orange cloud). Set it to DNS only.
  2. Save the record and wait a few minutes.
  3. Choose Check DNS on the domain.

Qorlivo keeps checking on its own for 24 hours. DNS changes usually show within minutes, but can take up to 48 hours.

When it works

The status changes to Verified, and the domain appears in Domain when you create a link.

Verification confirms your DNS record. The HTTPS certificate is set up automatically after that and can take a few more minutes. Wait, then open the link again. If the warning stays for more than an hour, check that the record is still in place and not proxied.

Shows Failed

Failed means the record wasn't found within 24 hours, so automatic checks stopped. Fix the record using the steps above, then choose Check DNS again.

Still stuck
