Invite says the email does not match
Fix "Sign in with the email address this invite was sent to" and "No access" when accepting a workspace or collection invite.
Last reviewed: October 1, 2026
Invites belong to the email address they were sent to. You have to accept them while signed in with that address.
What you see
- This invite could not be accepted with "Sign in with the email address this invite was sent to, then try again."
- On a restricted collection: No access with "This collection is restricted to specific people. Ask the owner to invite the email you signed in with."
The email you are signed in with is shown under the message as "Signed in as".
Before you start
- Know which address the invite was sent to. It is the inbox where the invite email arrived.
- Have access to that address, or ask the person who invited you to use the address you sign in with.
Fix it
- On the invite page, choose Sign in with another account. You are signed out and sent to sign in.
- Sign in (or sign up) with the address the invite was sent to.
- You return to the invite, and it is accepted.
If you'd rather use your current account, ask the owner to cancel the old invite and invite the email you are signed in with.
When it works
You see You're in, then the workspace or collection opens.
